As a research project focused on reconstructing historical human impact inSvalbard, we know how important a careful balance of stakholders’ insterests is in the Arctic. We are looking forward to introducing participants to the complexity of Arctic resource negotiations by enacting the SMARTIC role-play scenarios: players will slip into the roles of different Arctic stakeholders. Faced with future challenges, they need to come together for a Strategic Management of Resources in Times of Change.

Participation is free of charge, but limited to 25 players! We expect, however, that you prepare well in advance and actively take part in discussions.
